Candidates
The legislature has spoken and in a short time we will be able to see our reconfigured districts. Our Governor's "advisory committee" has observed and opined but by repeating our previous method of redrawing district lines, we can expect the same results. Anyhow, it is incumbent on our party to select electable candidates. Let us be diligent and have a hard look at prospective candidates. Our time and money is too valuable to spend on marginal candidates.
We will be supporting the national ticket with President Obama and Vice-president Biden heading the ticket. We expect ex-governor Tim Kaine to be nominated to replace our senior senator, Jim Webb who has made us proud to proclaim him as "our man in Washington."
We will be nominating a candidate for congress in our 1st Congressional District. Hopefully by the time election time arrives, the Tea Party will have imploded and the voting public will have seen the great harm that doing nothing had done.
